Bedtime Stories DVD

If you are into Disney family feel good comedies, get yourself a copy of Adam Sandler’s latest effort, Bedtime Stories.

Sandler has made a career out of being the kid from the neighbourhood who got to do all the cool things normal people want to do, on screen.

Skeeter Bronson is the name of Sandler’s character, and the role is custom built for Sandler’s ‘goofy’ character – one he has applied to many other films previously.

The plot is fairly straightforward, even though it does take a magical twist as the film progresses. Skeeter is the janitor at a pricey hotel which was once a not-so-pricey hotel owned by his father. When the hotel was sold, the new buyer promised to make Skeeter manager when he grew up. Unfortunately, Skeeter is left to work as the cleaner while another man, Kendall, is appointed manager.

Skeeter’s sister has to leave town for work, and he is asked to look after her two children while she is gone. He starts telling them bedtime stories and they contribute their own ideas to the stories. When those stories begin to come true in real life, Skeeter realises he can manipulate the stories to try to make his own dreams come about…
